Living in Fresno, California, Kynia Thrower most recently worked as a care provider and health aide with locally based In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). In this role, she was essential in enabling patients with health issues to remain in their homes, providing support and education to them and their families on matters such as the use of specialized equipment. Kynia Thrower monitored patient health, maintained a safe and secure environment in the home, and helped out with everyday household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry. She holds a bachelor of science in public health administration from Fresno State University. While in school, she achieved honor roll and merit list status.
